Mr. Relyea received his Associate in Science, Performing Arts, Music from Schenectady County Community College, his Bachelor of Science Music Ed from the College of Saint Rose, and did his Graduate Studies, Master of Arts, Music Ed. at Shenandoah University. His teaching experience includes, Music Coordinator for the Gloversville High School Marching band, Gloversville, NY; Band Director at Amsterdam High School, Amsterdam, NY, and Band Director at Northampton Area High School, Northampton, PA. Mr. Relyea’s forty-six year career in the Marching Arts activity includes, Brass Instructor- Avant Garde Drum and Bugle Corps, Saratoga Springs, NY; Brass Instructor and Touring Caption Head- Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, West Chester, PA; Brass Instructor- Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, Reading, PA; Brass Instructor, Staff and Program Coordinator- Sunrisers Drum and Bugle Corps, Orangeburg, NY; Brass Caption head- Bridgemen Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, Bayonne, NJ; and is currently a performer and Director of the Tri Valley Brass Ensemble, Coplay, PA. His adjudication career began in 1996 with twenty years in the National Judges Association. Mr Relyea’s current judging associations include; Drum Corps Associates, Keystone Indoor Drill Association, New York State Field Band Conference and Cavalcade of Bands.
